Name: Tawnyleaf
Clan: BoneClan
Age: Sixty moons
Rank: Senior warrior, frequently Queen
Gender: She-cat
Appearance: Tawnyleaf is a large she-cat. Plus, her fur is on the long side, which makes her seem larger. She has vicious, angry-looking, dark green eyes that look like they can pierce a hole into anybody if she wanted to. Most of her pelt is snowy white. On the left side and middle of her back, near her tail, she has a bunch of other colors clustered and mottled together. They are brown, red, orange, and a few others similar to those. It is mostly brown, though. That’s why she is named Tawnyleaf. Her tail is extra long and fluffy, which she uses to wrap around her kits. The rest of her body is mostly well proportioned, except for her ears. They are large compared to the rest of her body, and she is always using them to listen to her kits. Her fangs are sharp and deadly, which can be seen a lot. She uses them when threatening other cats, snapping at them with her sharp tongue. Tawnyleaf has large muscles, rippling under her pelt when she walks. Basically, she is a tough-looking she-cat, who is powerful and strong.
Personality: Tawnyleaf is not a cat most other cats like. She used to be a wonderful, friendly young cat, but that all changed when something terrible happened. Now, she is a shell, very different from what she used to be. Now, she has a very sharp tongue, and snaps or yells at anyone who gets her irritated or angry. Mostly, she keeps to herself, and doesn’t spend time with others. Caring about her clan is not something she does. She doesn’t care one bit about most of them. But, she really, really loves her kits. Tawnyleaf is the mother of many young cats in BoneClan. She has had five litters so far, and plans to have a lot more of them. Even when they grow up and are warriors, she still loves them, but not as much. When they are kits, she is extremely protective of them, and won’t let them out of her sight. If anyone comes near them, she will snap, bite, yell, and do all she can to make it so they never come back. When mentors tell their apprentices to bring the queens fresh-kill, they dread seeing Tawnyleaf. They usually leave it a good couple of fox-lengths away from her, so all she can do is growl and hiss without leaving her kits. She is immensely good at growling, hissing, and other frightening noises. Tawnyleaf is protective of her kits because of something terrible that happened to her when she was a young, new warrior. When it comes to being loyal to BoneClan, she…well, she’s not. She frequently breaks the warrior code, and will take fresh-kill when she hasn’t caught anything for the clan-when she’s a warrior, not a queen. Also, she mates with rouges and loners. Maybe a kittypet in the future? Tawnyleaf loves to have a little power. When there are apprentices back in camp and their mentors are out, she has a lot of fun! She will boss them around, and tell them to do different tasks. She loves to have them go out and fetch moss for the elders and nursery, and loves to ‘order’ a particular piece of prey for them to hunt. Because she is a queen and warrior, she has the authority to boss them around, and she takes advantage of that. When she is pregnant, and there are other kits in the nursery, she will be loving to them too, just like her own kits. But, not as protective as her own, and she doesn’t care about them as much. Tawnyleaf has had five different litters, and five different mates. A different one each time. Yes, she like the mates she has had. But, she doesn’t really love them. Once she’s pregnant, she doesn’t do much with them. She will like them a little more than the rest of the clan though, but only a tiny bit. Besides, her mate is usually not from her clan. If her mate comes near her kits, she will treat them like anyone else, and snap and yell at them. It’s just the way she is. She was made that way by the terrible thing that occurred in her past.
History: Tawnyleaf was born in BoneClan. Her parents are both dead, killed in battle by Hailclan warriors. Before the terrible thing in her past happened, she was a hard-working, friendly, young apprentice and warrior. But, that terrible thing happened. One night, she was out hunting. It was a few nights after her warrior ceremony, and she was full of pride for her clan. She saw a handsome, charming black cat near the border, looking wistfully in. His eyes were full of polite curiosity at first, but then he saw her. He looked at her with love in his eyes and said, “Hello. My name is Raven, and I am a loner. I know this is crazy…but I love you. It’s love at first sight! I know it is. Will…you have kits with me?” It turns out that Tawnyleaf, being as young and naïve as she was, fell for his good looks and charm, and took him as a mate. A while later, she had his kits. She was so proud of them! One night, she sneaked out of camp to see him, and she brought her kits. She wanted to show him what they were like. He grinned when he saw them, and nodded enthusiastically. Then, out of nowhere, came another cat, leaping on top of her back, mercilessly digging his claws in.
“Raven! Help me! Get him off!!” But, he just stood there, grinning…wickedly.
“Just hold her down there!” he said, and picked one of the kits up. He sniffed at it, and then shook his head. “No, no. This one’s no good.” Then, he stooped down…and ate the kit. Tawnyleaf shrieked and fought, but more cats came and held her down. The second kit was ‘no good’ as well, and was eaten. The third, however, was accepted by the evil cat. “Perfect!” he cried. “Perfect. He will do well. Okay, you stupid she-cat. We are going to go now. I am taking my son with me. He will be a perfect fighter for my rouge clan!” Seeing the look of horror on her face, he grinned and said “Oh, you believed me being a loner? No…I’m a rouge. I’m a rouge leader! And this kit here will someday lead our pack!” Then, all the cats fled, her last son dangling from his jaws, a wicked gleam of triumph in his eyes. Tawnyleaf ran and ran, chasing them with her last son.
“NO!!! Great Starclan, no!!!” But, they outran her, and they were all soon gone into the night.
Later, when she came back to camp, everyone asked her about the kits. But, she just couldn’t answer. She was really shaken up about the whole thing, and was depressed for a whole moon. The others didn’t want to upset her and didn’t say anything. But, one of the queens pestered her.
“What happened?” she demanded. “It looks like you killed your kits! It could be ours next! We want to know if it was your fault or not!” That was the last straw. All the grief and anger welled up inside her, and she turned and gave that queen some awful scars to remember her by.
“All of you, just shut your mouths about me and my kits!!” From that day on, she was the angry shell she is today. She still wonders about that one kit. Is it the leader of its pack? Or did it get killed? She still wonders…
RP example: Tawnyleaf woke up, and stared lovingly at her three two-moon-old kits next to her in the nursery. When they woke up and started suckling, she poked her head out of the nursery. “Hello? What’s taking so long? Someone, bring some fresh-kill in here!” A few moments later, a timid, young, tom stepped in. He kept as much distance between the two of them as possible, eying her nervously. The queen stared at him and growled, covering her kits with her tail. “Give me the fresh-kill, you mouse-brain!” she snapped. Cautiously, he stepped forward, and placed it on the ground. Then, he darted out a paw, and hit it over to her. It came close to touching one of her kits, so she was mad! “Get out of here!” she shrieked. “Get away from my kits! Are you trying to kill them?! Get out of my sight!” The apprentice, terrified, ran. When he was out of the nursery, she gently licked her kits, and murmured lovingly to them. “Don’t worry, my precious sweeties. I won’t let that scary cat throw dead squirrels at you anymore. You’ll be fine.”
