Freewing crouched low, moving briskly over the ground before her. Three feet or so away, a mouse nibbled at a small pile of seeds that it had gathered. Freewing knew so, she had watched the mouse search out it's food.
Suddenly, the wind shifted. The mouse raised it's head, beady black eyes stairing directly in Freewing's direction for less than a heartbeat before scrambling off the the right.
The she-cat followed in a mightly leap that sent her crashing a mere inch from where the mouse had intended to go. Freewing hissed darkly, mentally smacked herself, then shot out a paw at the little creature. The swipe knocked the mouse off its paws and into closer range to Freewing who swiftly killed it.
It was most certainly not one of her better kills, but the mouse hadn't made any noise, and there was still the pile of seeds that might draw other creatures.
With a satified purr, Freewing walked back to the denser underbrush and buried the mouse there with the wren she'd caught earlier. sitting down, she wrapped her white-tipped tail around her paws and sat down to wait. After all, patience was a virtue that often paid off.

A large crash thundered through the area, sending birds in all directions. A black cat had been playing loudly on a large branch, and had taken one step too far. The branch hadn't been able to take her wait. The base of the long piece of wood snapped, and plummeted to the ground. Thankfully Greengaze had jumped right before it fell, and clawed onto the above branch. She was hanging from her two front paws. "HEEEEELP!" She mewed, looking around frantically. She was forever getting herself into trouble, but there was always someone around to help. But what if this time's different? She panicked, pupils growing rapidly, I don't want to die!
Greengaze attempted to hoist herself up, but lost her balance and ended up hanging by one paw. Almost precisely before she fell, she managed to lift the other paw and grasp the wood. She wouldn't be trying that again. "Heeelp!" Greengaze began whimpering, her pelt shivering in fright. Then a scent hit her nose. A little of it was of a frightened mouse. But then the stronger side was of another cat. A Nigthclan cat. Greengaze could recognise the smell, but only just. She racked her brains for the face of the scent. Who is it, who is it...? The realisation hit her, and she opened her mouth to call out. "FREEWING! FREEEEWIIIING! HELP! HELP, I'M STUCK!" She squealed, shaking her hind legs. "HELP!"

At the first cry for help, Freewing had flinched; loud noises, no matter what the cause was, annoyed her. And there was not doubt in the she-cat's mind that all prey within a good radius of the area would have gone back into hiding. Normally, Freewing was your average mild-mannered she-cat who got along with anything on four legs that didn't chase or try to eat her... But now? Not so much.
And then she heard her name. Twice, in fact.
Freewing leap to her paws and shot off to where she'd heard the terrified yowl. Considering her disability of sight, she did surprisingly well dogding around the bushes that appeared in her path. But at last, she could make out the black, fuzzy outline of another cat clinging to a tree above her.
Judging from the scent of the cat, it could only be Greengaze. Freewing flipped her tail to-and-fro nervously, her blue-grey eyes narrowed intently on the other she-cat. "Don't worry, Greengaze, I'll get you down!" Somehow.

Oh, finally! Greengaze thought with relief, smiling slightly. Help had come at last. But how could Freewing help? What could a cat do? She wiggled her feet a little, trying to shift her wieght off her front paws a little. They were starting to hurt. The warrior racked her brains, attempting to find something that could help her get down. "What-what's below m-me?" She stuttered, trying to look over her shoulder. She couldn't, however. Get a grip, Greengaze! She demanded herself, frowning in concentration, Get a hold of yourself! Time to get yourself out of this. Greengaze pulled herself up a little, getting a better grip. "Is there anything soft below me?" She hoped Freewing could tell. If she can't, she'll just feel her way around, I hope.

Freewing knedded her paws into the ground. "The ground is kind of soft, and there's some moss growing here." The tree wasn't that high up... If Greengaze could let go then twist a bit in the air... She would land on her paws, and the landing would be easier on the other she-cat
But would it work?
"Greengaze! When you let go, try and twist your body so that you land on your feet!"
Oh, please, oh, please, oh, please, let this work.
