well, I'm starting to write a book called Elemental stones now. And its kinda a redo of my failed attempt at a book which was called Dragon Stones. The concept of restoring balance by finding the stones, yatta yatta, is the same, but the characters, time and place are different.
I'm already on the third page and its coming out a hell of a lot better than the last one, in terms of detail and how it flows. Plus the main character Paleni (pa leh nI; Pa like in pal; sound out the I) is A LOT less talkative and more naive than the previous main character, plus he talks mainly to his horse.
So i was wondering, if anyone would want me to post the book here, a few paragraphs a week maybe. That critique and positive feedback would really help my drive to finish it and possibly even get it published if it's good enough.

Paleni basically finds out that dragons still exist, goes on a journey around the 'world' collecting the lost (and magical) elemental stones that had been created by the dragons over 300 years earlier. The stones had gone missing around 200 years ago and the dragons, along with most other mythical creatures, went into hiding. But each stone has fallen into the wrong hands (each with a different evil) plus each stone has its own element. He picks up a couple friends and a mentor along the way to teach him how to fight and how to use magic. In a sense its like Eragon, but in another its like Deltora Quest.

Hm. Never heard of Deltora Quest. I haven't read Eragon either, but I don't really want to. But your story sounds a bit interesting still. xD
