Introduction:
The school, built in 1958, was originally intended for the insane, the first section of it constructed solely to serve the role of an asylum. What is now the cafeteria, library, and dorm area used to house crazed souls. For two decades, the school fed medications to those who needed them, to help them shut up, to help them stop seeing insects climbing up the walls, to help them talk some sense... But then it was shut down. Funding ran out; no one wanted to help the helpless anymore. And so they were let loose upon society.
The school was abandoned, left like a half-eaten carcass. Its boundaries were taped off, all entrants forbidden. The building was condemned, left to fall apart slowly as the wake of time allowed it. That was when he came. Darian McCabe, the Christ of St. Mary's Asylum.
The school was rebuilt in 1979, completely redone. All the padded rooms were hardened, all the white paint chipped off and replaced with somewhat happier colors. The dorms were carved out of cells, the cafeteria was born from multiple solitary confinement rooms. Hallways formed, classrooms were built. A fence was erected around the campus. Fun things were placed randomly throughout the ten mile property. All thanks to McCabe, the evil children were sent to his school.
