The Moon Forest was once a thriving place, where the four Clans lived and prospered. Generations passed as the Clans continued to survive and rule the forest. They ruled over the forest and knew nothing could defeat them.
It wasn't until one full moon, during greenleaf, when that all changed. No cat knows where it came from or why it came: a wildfire that was unlike any other. Not even the twolegs, who seem to be good with fire, could stop it. It roared through the forest as fast as the wind blew. The four leaders of the Clans were each sent a dream from StarClan, telling them to travel to highstones as soon as possible. That very night was haunted by a glow in the distance and a mysterious roaring. The leaders met with their warrior ancestors, only to hear of a coming disaster: one that would change everything forever... The Clans were caught off guard. The fire burst into the forests, into each territory, and swallowed the camps, engulfing everything in its path in flames. No cat survived that night.
Except, the four leaders. At highstones, the cold rock and absence of trees or grass acted as a stopping point for the deadly flames. Talonstar, old and on his last life, had only barely made it to highstones when the heavy smoke claimed him. The remaining leaders could not believe what had happened. Every cat... from every Clan... kits... warriors... elders... medicine cats... everyone..... gone. The entire ThunderClan forest was burned to the ground. WindClan moors were mere wastelands of dirt and ash. RiverClan claimed to the river, but to no reeds or grass, the woods gone as well. ShadowClan marshes had dried up almost completely, the pine forest a vast expanse of burnt, broken timbers. The leaders could not believe StarClan would do such a thing to them and cursed them, swearing never to trust them again.
But that night, a warrior from each Clan who died in the Great Fire visited their former leader in a dream; a dream that made them realize not to give up hope. As time went on, the forest started to regrow. The leaders moved back into their territories to see what had become of their land. Oceanfur, the WindClan deputy, was found in a cave near the rabbit warren; the only cat to have survived, ready to replace his dead leader. Maybe StarClan had not completely abandoned them.
Then, StarClan visited them each in a dream once more. They offered the leaders what they desired most: StarClan has decided to grant you a wish that is not granted lightly. You may bring back one member of your previous Clan. This is something StarClan can do only once, every thousand full moon, for each Clan. We have decided that this is the time. Moonstar decided on her deputy and kin, Goldstripe. Ravenstar chose Lightpelt, her medicine cat. Oceanstar chose his old deputy. And Featherstar brought back Hawkwing, and made her deputy.
Then, new cats suddenly started joining. They came from all around: loners, kittypets, rouges, and other wild cats traveled to Moon Forest because of unprotected territories. The leaders' words to these cats persuaded them to help rebuild and start anew.
The Great Fire took everything, but hope was not lost. Will you join the Warriors of Moon Forest and help build the Clans again to their former greatness? We need you to help!
